Every Sunday Matt Nelson & I will make a prediction for 4 NFL games. 3 will be guaranteed locks and one will be our upset special. Here are the predictions for Week 17:

Is this the last time Vick dons Eagles green?
It is the last week of the NFL regular season. After today there are only 11 meaningful Pro Football games left. Naturally, this should be a somber weekend, but that couldn't be further from the truth. Though it certainly is sad, I look at the bright side: The next month or so will give us some of the most exciting, intense, action packed football of the season. The NFL Playoffs are my favorite time of the year, and with the way things are looking to play out, this year should be no different.

For some players, Week 17 is no more than an audition for the future. One player that takes center stage this week is Mike Vick. With the Eagles out of contention, they have decided to let him start the final game. This game may decide whether he stays in Philly or leaves, and if he is on his way out this game is a statement to all other teams as to whether or not he can play. Personally, I think the Vick train has been derailed once and for all, and he will never compete at a high level again in this league.

With the exception of the Redskins vs Cowboys there are no huge games this week where both teams are fighting for their lives. There are still teams battling for playoff positioning, but the matchup for the NFC East Championship is virtually a playoff game we get to see a week early. But with ten of the twelve playoff spots sealed, this week is lacking the drama of most regular season finales.

The picks have lost a little drama as well, as Matt needs a 4-0 week, along with me going 0-4, if he wants to beat me. That is seemingly unlikely, especially since we have a pick that is the same. Plus, I have the momentum; I'm coming off a week where I nailed all my picks, including the Upset Special. I also have a huge lead in my Fantasy Football Championship round heading into the second week. Say HELLO! to 4-in-a-row! All in all, this has been another good season for me, but now let's wrap it up.

Jimmy's Picks

Lock #1 - Patriots over Dolphins
Don't expect the Pats to give us too much, considering there is a good chance they play next weekend. That being said, they are still a better team than Miami. Pats 24-13

Lock #2 - Texans over Colts
I said 2 weeks ago the Texans would win both and I'm sticking with it. The Colts still haven't beat any good teams besides their comeback in Green Bay. Texans 38-24

Lock #3 - Broncos over Chiefs
The Broncos are the hottest team in the NFL and the Chiefs are fighting for the #1 pick. Denver also is playing for a bye and possibly the #1 seed, so they will be prepared. Broncos 31-17

Upset Special - Cowboys over Redskins
I predicted back in Week 11 that the Cowboys would make the playoffs. If that is to happen they have to win this one, and they will. I think Washington still sneaks into the playoffs, though. Cowboys 34-31

Week 16 record:   4-0
Overall record:   44-20
Upset Special:   6-12

Matt's Picks

Lock #1- Patriots over Dolphins
The Dolphins usually play the patriots well, and could very well pull off the upset, I just don't see it happening. Pats 42-24

Lock #2 - 49ers over Cardinals
Their division and number 2 seed are on the line. They get the luxury of playing the Cardinals, so potential crisis averted. Niners  35-13

Lock #3 - Redskins over Cowboys
Its a big game at the end of the year, so time for Romo to under perform. Skins 30-13

Upset Special - Colts over Texans
Just cause Jimmy said the Texans were gonna sweep them. Colts 28-24

Week 16 record:   no picks
Overall record:   36-23-1
Upset Special: 7-12
