Every Sunday Matt Nelson & I will make a prediction for 4 NFL games. 3 will be guaranteed locks and one will be our upset special. Here are the predictions for Week 16:
The world really is ending, there are only two weeks left in the regular season. That also means the Fantasy Football championship round starts this week and carries over to next. I am in once again, and looking for my 4th straight championship. Matt missed his chance by a few points so I am the last dog left in the race. But enough about my fantasy dominance, there is football to talk about.

First off, I would like to congratulate Calvin Johnson, my preseason MVP pick, for breaking Jerry Rice's long-standing record for receiving yards in a season. If the Lions could play some defense and if Matthew Stafford didn't throw a boatload of interceptions, Detroit could be in the playoff race and Calvin would be getting a ton of MVP hype. He is having one of the greatest seasons a receiver has ever had. And people said he was struggling early on. HUMBUG I say!!!

There are some big games over the next two weeks as teams are jockeying for playoff position. The NFC East is a complete log jam with three teams at 8-6. These next two weeks will decide everything, but I will make some predictions now. In the NFC, the Giants win the East but the Cowboys still sneak in. The Seattle Seahawks will get the last Wild Card. Packers get the #2 seed and the Niners fall to #3. In the AFC, the Texans will wrap up the #1 seed. The Broncos will earn the other bye week. Pats will be #3 and Ravens #4. Indy and Pittsburgh will grab the wild card spots.

As for the picks, Matt bombed out last week on his Ultimate Upset Special, winning just one game. Lucky for him, I only won two, so the race is still close. He is winning the Upset Special part of it, but I got him overall.  Matt will be unable to make his picks this week, but you still get mine.

My Picks

Lock #1 - Patriots over Jaguars
The Pats are coming off a loss and the Jaguars are just bad. The Pats are still fighting for the #1 seed and the Jags are battling for the #1 pick. This one's a no-brainer. Pats 41-13

Lock #2 - Panthers over Raiders

Cam Newton is starting to look more like the Cam of last season where he set the world on fire. The Raiders have struggled and it will continue this week on the road. Panthers 24-14

Lock #3 - Bears over Cardinals

The Bears are looking to make one final playoff push, and I think they can do it. This will be a defensive struggle, but Matt Forte and Brandon Marshall will be enough on offense in this one. Bears 20-13

Upset Special - Seahawks over 49ers
The game is in Seattle where the Seahawks are nearly impossible to beat. This is the game of the week, and Russel Wilson, the Seahawks rookie quarterback, will shine on the national stage. Marshawn Lynch will have another big game and the Niners will fall just short here. Seahawks 27-24

Week 15 record:   2-2
Overall record:   40-20
Upset Special:   5-12
